Get to know your committee!

President - Madge Corbitt

Chairperson - Jo Elder

Club Secretary - Monette Montagu - Come to me for "Anything and Everything to do with West London. "

Position: Straight D

Number of Seasons at West London : 6 and a half yrs

Best Lacrosse Achievement: So many ... but the fact that I am still playing after 3 knee operations also ranks quite highly!

Most Embarassing Moment with Club:  Apparently it involved trying to climb into the cloakroom of some club in Cardiff to demonstrate that a little bit of hunting on the floor would undoubtedly reveal my beloved black (Sainsbury special) cardy somewhere despite the manager insisting for 10 minutes that it was not there. My determination was eventually rewarded apparently (memory a little hazy…..) And then there was the time when the second team captain said to me “I want to be like you when I grow up…..” (it was late at night in a club in Birmingham…….).

Why West London Lacrosse Club Because I felt part of the club and team from the day I walked in, and I have been encouraged to get stuck in and get involved at each step. I want to say thanks so much to everyone, I couldn't have done it without you... (Oscars style sob..)

Other Hobbies: Travelling, Partying, Axe-throwing.

Treasurer - Georgie Curry

Best Lacrosse Achievement: 2 European Gold Medals (Wales) + getting on the World Cup Training Squad 3 times.

Most Embarassing Moment with Club:  Having to sing Christmas carols with the barman at the Christmas dinner on my first season with the club! At least I got a free shot or two and thank goodness it was a private room.

Why West London Lacrosse Club Obviously it's the best club in London. Everyone is brilliant fun and we not only have fun on the pitch but so many of us are great friends - socially its brilliant too. Also, I love the fact we compete to a high level and have either won or come second in the premiership practically every season I've been around!

Most Embarassing Moment with Club: Although I suffer from (or am blessed with) severe memory loss, there are a couple of hazy moments that remain. A certain CCTV moment involving a wheelchair on tour in Durham resulting in other guests receiving refunds might top them all.
